The house is located about 50 km east of Malaga on a hillside in a beautiful, all year green river valley, stretching from the village of Torrox
into the Almijara mountains. Avocado, Nispero, Mango and Chirimoya plantations on terraced fields; with shady paths ideal for walking.
The little hamlet “Casarone " is inhabited only by local farmers and belongs to Torrox (about 4 km). There are beautiful mountain views
(2000 m), into the valley and from the roof terrace the sea can be seen. The house is situated in the hamlet Cacerone. If you follow the village
road, you reach far into the valley, to various villas and trails in the mountains.
The village of Torrox with all amenities nearby offers shops, restaurants and cafes, schools, a medical centre (24 h), a Market Hall, a charming
"Plaza", good bus connections to the coast (about 3, 5 km) and to Malaga, Cultural Activities, narrow streets nested white houses and bars on every corner.
On the coast, Torrox Costa, there is a promenade lined with restaurants, live music and
stands, nightclubs, an expansive beach and all facilities a Spanish beach resort offers nowadays (a supermarket, water sports, etc.). Most tourists are Spanish, English and
German (German bakeries, magazines, etc. available).
The next town Nerja (about 7 km) is internationally well known and very nice for shopping and going out. Famous is the Cave of
Nerja, where concerts take place, and the balcony of Europe.
Other attractions include the famous "white villages" in the area,
e.g. Competa, Frigiliana, Canillas and others, the National Park Sierra Almijara and Sierra Tejeda, Sierra Nevada, the deserts in Almeria, the cave dwellings in Guadix and of course Granada with
its "Al Hambra", Seville, Gibraltar, Ronda and the "Mezquita of Cordoba . Not to forget Africa! (Local travel agencies offer trips to Tangier, Tetouan, etc. as a day trip).

The “house A “ is situated on a huge plot of several thousand square meters of natural hillside with olives and avocado plantations. To the right hand side there is an older
neighbouring house which is used by a Spanish family, sometimes at the weekend, but not permanently inhabited. The house has four outdoor terraces, a small roof terrace, a larger
one, which is covered and facing the valley, another one has a beautiful brick barbecue. Stone stairs leads to a small pool where another small terrace is situated.
